2015 Event: An Evening With Dr. Stephen Meyer

This past year, Augustine School was proud to host Dr. Stephen C. Meyer, author of Darwin’s Doubt and current director of the Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture (CSC) and a founder of the intelligent design movement. Meyer spoke to a room of more than 300 guests on the current state of scientific discovery and intelligent design, as well as the opportunity that a classical Christian education provides in the pursuit of scientific inquiry.

The event was also an opportunity to unveil the Pascal Initiative, Augustine’s initiative to provide the best math and science education in the Jackson area. Fundraising efforts contributed toward the hiring of new science and math faculty members as well as the selection of new math and science curriculum.
